CALM COVE SENSORY SPACE
The Calm Cove was developed to meet our
communities' needs through the count y 's T herapeu t ic Recreat ion prog ram,
which of fers recreational oppor tunities to individuals with special
needs. A ribbon cutting and grand
opening for the center was held
Wednesday, March 6, 2024.
Pa r t icip a n t s c a n t a ke p a r t in
entertainment for all senses including touch, sight, taste, sound, and
smell in a controlled and intentionally created space. The Calm Cove
provides multi-sensory resources
to enable par ticipants to engage in fun
and engaging activities. The space can be
calming or stimulating depending on the
needs of those present and will be available for reservations upon request as well.
