enhance water supply and infrastructure to support continued
advancement.
The objective is to implement
the alternative water source
resource plan for the Waldor f
Interconnection Project in a
phased approach in order to
diversif y the water sources for
the public supply.
The WSSC Waldorf
Interconnection project
includes:
• Design and construction of
an interconnection pipeline to
Washington Suburban Sanitary
Commission (WSSC) in Prince
George’s County — down Route
301, and into the Waldorf water
system
• Bacteria Activated Carbon
Water Treatment Plant to
re-treat WSSC water
• Provide up to five million gallons per day of additional
potable water.
