Pre-registration is required for all camps unless otherwise noted.
All camps require a Summer Camp Registration Packet (available online with camp registration) to be completed.
Summer Day Camp at Elite
Spend the day participating in arts and crafts, fun sports competitions,
organized games, gymnastics activities, and special events with guest
presenters. Campers will enjoy a trip to the local pool for recreational
swimming and a special event or field trip for each of the nine weekly
sessions. Campers must be minimum age listed by first day of camp and
no older than the maximum age listed by the first day of camp. Additional
$10 will be added for onsite day-of registration. Camp registration fee is
per week. *No camp July 3; week will be prorated.

fun theme that will keep your camper engaged and excited this summer.

Camp Co-Op
This summer day camp is designed for Charles County Public School who
are receiving special education services. Activities include arts and crafts,
swimming, games, sports, life skills, and special field trips. Enrollment is
limited to 40 campers per session. Transportation needs such as door-todoor pickups or designated bus stop areas are available based on need.
Sessions fill up on a first come, first served basis. Campers must be
enrolled with Charles County Public Schools. Age is as of Dec 31, 2025.
Camp is held at La Plata High School. Open House on Friday, June 26, 4:006:00p. Camp Co-Op registration packets must be delivered to the
Department of Recreation, Parks & Tourism Registration Office at 107
Centennial St., Suite A, La Plata, MD 20646 or emailed to
Registration@CharlesCountyMD.gov. Payment is due at the time of
registration.

Future Leaders Teen Camp
Join in the adventure of a brand-new Future Leaders Teen Camp
experience. Future Leaders is a specially designed summer camp program
for teens ages 13 to 16. This camp provides a space for teens to come
together in a fun environment, experience new adventures, and learn
valuable life-long lessons while creating new friendships along the way.
Teens will be challenged daily by focusing on key pillars of development
such as life & social skills, mentorship, leadership, athletics and
adventure. This camp includes weekly visits to the pool, exciting field
trips, and special guest presenters. Camp registration fee is per week. *No
camp July 3; week will be prorated.

Gilbert Run Explorer Week
A wise person once said, “fill your life with adventures, not things.”
Campers will enjoy a week of outdoor adventures with fun skill building
activities. Your camper will practice a variety of outdoor skills and learn
how to fish. We will end the week with a fun nature hike around the lake
identifying plants and animals while putting our outdoor skills to the test.
Friday will be used in the event of inclement weather.
