SCHOOL'S OUT PROGRAMS — Pre-Registration Required
2026-27 School Year
Program runs August 24-June 9
Monday-Friday, 3-6 p.m., at:
Henson and Glymont (Indian Head)
Davis, Hanson, Mattawoman, and
Stoddert (Waldorf)
Monday-Friday, 2-6 p.m., at:
Piccowaxen (Newburg), Somers (La Plata)
Registrant must attend school
where participating.
Registration Packet Required
Packets are available at the Charles
County Recreation Registration office, all
Community Centers, and online.
Program requires minimal and sustainable
registration to operate and is subject to
cancellation. Program does not meet on days
school is closed. Program may not qualify
for child care tax deduction. Fees are not
prorated on short weeks. Fees are due the
Friday before the following week.
Beyond the Bell is an afterschool club for middle
school aged teens looking for a safe environment
to do homework, make new friends, enjoy various
STEM projects while engaging in fun physical activity. Our dependable staff will encourage participants
to be creative and innovative thinkers.

Weekly Fee: $60
Daily Drop-In Fee: $15
One-time registration fee of $25 per school year

SCHOOL'S OUT DAY AT ELITE
School’s out…let the fun begin. Students on the Go is a tailor-made field trip
program for students looking for a little adventure on scheduled school closures.
Program offers students the opportunity to explore local attractions and historical
sites in a safe, fun, and engaging way. Trip locations are tentative and subject to
change. Pre-registration is required, and space is limited.
When school is out, fun is in! Join us for a full day of exciting activities including
gymnastics instruction, creative arts and crafts, group games, and special themed
projects. It's the perfect way to keep your child active, engaged, and entertained
on their day off. Please pack a bag lunch, drink, and snack each day. Pre-registration
is required.
Resident Fee: $60; Non-Resident: $65
