Youth Kickball
Charles County Department of Recreation, Parks, and Tourism is offering a noncompetitive, just for fun Youth Kickball program. Game play and program structure
will be overseen by recreation staff. Players will receive instruction and play loosely
organized games each day. Team assignments will be made onsite on the first day of
the program. Registration numbers will dictate team ratios. Program meets once a
week for 6 weeks. Pre-registration is required; no walk-ins will be accepted. Online
registration only. Registration deadline: September 1.

Lil Athletes Academy
Join us this fall for a new and exciting way to spend time with your child while
introducing them to the Wide World of Sports. Our Lil Athletes Academy is designed
to promote family & fun while introducing your child to a variety of sports and new
friends in a safe environment. Our instructors have created a detailed curriculum
to keep young athletes engaged and eager while learning. All playing equipment
will be provided. Each six-week session meets once a week (6 classes). Adult participation is required.

Drop-In Pickleball
Pickleball is a fun sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table
tennis. The rules are simple and easy for beginners to learn, but, for experienced
players it can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game. Learn to play this fun
and exciting game and then put your skills to the test in friendly competition. All
necessary equipment is provided. Dates and times subject to change. Pickleball is
available at Piccowaxen Community Center, Port Tobacco Recreation Center, Stoddert
Community Center, Wade Community Center, and Waldorf Senior & Recreational

Adult Pickleball Ladder League
Join a group of similar skilled players each week to compete in organized matches.
Players will alternate teammates while playing 3 games per night. As you play games,
you move up or down the ladder to play with and against similar skilled players.
Each region will start with a random draw. Season will conclude with an end of the
season tournament. Awards will be given to the top three players in each region
and end of season tournament winners. All players are required to create a free
profile and join the Charles County Pickleball Community on the Global Pickleball
Network. The Global Pickleball Network (GPN) is used for score reporting, nightly
matchups, and league news.

Racquetball
Court usage is limited to one hour. Players must bring own equipment, towel,
and water bottle. Can practice racquetball or pickleball. No drop-in September
7, October 12, and November 25-28.

Regular season will be round-robin format games. Teams must have a minimum
of 8 players and no more than 13 players. Team, individual, and small group player
registration available. When registering as a small group, individuals must register
separately and indicate who they are registering with during the registration process.
Players must be 18+ and not eligible to participate at the high school level.
Team Fee: $675
Individual/Small Group (Up to 3) Registration Fee: $75/each
