Charles County Swim Club
For beginner and intermediate swimmers looking to gain confidence in the water
by focusing on basic swimming skills, stroke development, and water safety.
This recreation-based program,
designed for both competitive
and non-competitive swimmers,
will provide leveled instruction
in a fun and safe environment.
Instructors may move swimmers
to a different group after
evaluating each participant at
the first practice.

Dolphin Resident Fee: $150; Non-Resident: $155
Sharks Resident Fee: $210; Non-Resident: $215
DOLPHIN GROUP: Must be able to swim one length (25 yds) both freestyle and
backstroke. Refines freestyle and backstroke technique and introduces breaststroke, butterfly, starts, turns, and finishes.
SHARK GROUP: Must be able to appropriately swim four lengths (100 yds.) of freestyle,
two length (50 yds.) of backstroke and breaststroke and demonstrate butterfly. Builds all
four competitive stroke techniques, starts, turns, finishes, and provides endurance training.

Adaptive Swim Lessons
Do you or a family member have an uneasiness with swimming or being around
water? This adaptive class for peoples with disabilities will provide participants with 8,
45-minute one-on-one swim lessons; while also learning basic water safety skills
to recognize, prevent and respond to emergencies in, on or around the water. Please
note there is only one seat available per time slot listed below. No class October 2.

Water Aerobics
Classes are low impact with emphasis on stretching, cardiovascular, and resistance
exercises. Participants should be comfortable in the water. Classes are subject to
change without notice depending on instructor/pool availability. Limited number
(5) of walk-in spaces available each class.

Aqua Circuit
Program consists of six 45-minute aqua-fitness classes utilizing a wide variety of
aqua fitness equipment. Classes will take place in both deep and shallow water,
but participants are not required to be able to swim in order to participate. No
class September 19.
