Borinquen Volleyball Clinic
Come out and enjoy open-style table tennis and semi-organized games.
The Beginner Volleyball Clinic is for girls and boys with 0-2 years of volleyball experience with the desire to learn proper volleyball techniques. This clinic will help players
build skills that will enable them to compete at the Rec and Club level. Instructed
by experienced coaches from Borinquen Volleyball Academy who enjoy the sport
and are motivated to develop a strong volleyball culture within the county. Please
bring your own water. Athletic clothing is required (t-shirt, shorts, sweatpants, tennis shoes, knee pads).

Adult Volleyball League
League is open to High B/BB & BB/A playing levels. Teams must have at least 8 players
and a minimum of 3 male and 3 female players. League must have a minimum of 4
teams to run. Participants will meet one night prior to the start of games play and
create teams. Jerseys will be provided. eight-week season. Ten-match season (30
games) & playoffs. Players must not be eligible to participate at the high school level.
Team Fee: $375; Individual/Small Group (Up to 3) Fee: $50/ea

The Advanced Volleyball Clinic is strictly for those players with at least 3 years of
experience. Clinic will focus on preparing athletes for upcoming school and club
seasons. Clinic provides an excellent opportunity to experience instruction from
outside of affiliated clubs and develop individual skills. Instructed by experienced
coaches from Borinquen Volleyball Academy who enjoy the sport and are motivated
to develop a strong volleyball culture within the county. Please bring your own
water. Athletic clothing is required (t-shirt, shorts, sweatpants, tennis shoes, knee
pads). No class March 27.

The Intermediate Volleyball Clinic is designed for girls and boys with 2-3 years of
volleyball experience. This program builds on skills learned and developed during
the beginner's program. Players should demonstrate basic skills such as serving,
setting, blocking, digging, passing, hitting etc. This program will also reinforce the
volleyball techniques and skills that will enable them to compete at the Rec and
Club level. Instructed by experienced coaches from Borinquen Volleyball Academy
who enjoy the sport and are motivated to develop a strong volleyball culture within
the county. Please bring your own water. Athletic clothing is required (t-shirt, shorts,
sweatpants, tennis shoes, knee pads).

SOMD Youth Volleyball Training
Youth Triathlon
New to volleyball or wanting to advance your beginning or intermediate skills?
This instructional youth volleyball program is offered to all skill levels of players
from beginner to advanced. Experienced co-directors, Nila Toribio-Straka and Ron
Swann, in addition to other experienced coaches of the Southern Maryland Volleyball
Club bring their wealth of knowledge of the game to your athlete. Players will
be introduced to various aspects of volleyball with emphasis on executing the
proper technique of passing, serving, and hitting. As players advance in their skill
development, drills will incorporate game-like situations to introduce players to the
fundamental aspects of the game of volleyball. Open to boys and girls. No class
March 30, April 1 and 6.
Save the date! Join us for this special event planned especially for kids ages 17 and
younger. Each athlete will swim, bike, and run specified distances based on their
age group while wearing a chip on their ankle to track their time throughout the
course of the event. Awards will be presented to the first, second, and third place
male and female finishers in each category. All participants receive a finisher medal.
