AQUATICS — Pre-Registration Required
Charles County Swim Club
This recreation-based program,
designed for both competitive and
non- competitive swimmers, will
provide leveled instruction in a fun
and safe environment. Instructors may
move swimmers to a different group
after evaluating each participant at
the first practice.
Dolphin Group: Must be able to swim one length (25 yds) both
freestyle and backstroke. Refines freestyle and backstroke technique
and introduces breaststroke, butterfly, starts, turns, and finishes.
Shark Group: Must be able to appropriately swim four lengths (100
yds.) of freestyle, two length (50 yds.) of backstroke and breaststroke
and demonstrate but ter f ly. Builds all four competitive stroke
techniques, starts, turns, finishes, and provides endurance training.

Indian Head Torpedoes Swim Team
Sign up today for the 2026 Summer Swim Team operated by the
Indian Head Torpedoes in conjunction with the Depar tment of
Recreation, Parks and Tourism. Your child can enjoy a welcoming
atmosphere of competitive swimming for all skill levels for ages
5 -18. Your child will experience a great coaching staf f that will
enhance your child's swimming performance. We compete in the
Prince Mont Swim League. Practices will be held at the Donald M.
Wade Aquatic Center or the La Plata High School outdoor pool and
are held M-F in the morning or evening. Swim meets are held on
Saturday mornings. Register your child(ren) today for a summer
they will never forget!
Your child needs to be able to swim the length of the pool in one
stroke. We invite you to our Coach Meet-n-Greet on May 10 at
Lackey High School from Noon–3:00p. Your child(ren) may be
evaluated there and registered! We look forward to meeting you!

Aqua Circuit
Program consists of six 45-minute aqua-fitness classes utilizing a wide variety of
aqua fitness equipment. Classes will take place in both deep and shallow water, but
participants are not required to be able to swim in order to participate.

Our standard water aerobics program is designed to be a low impact, fun aquatics exercise class. Consisting of 45 minute in-water exercise moves both with and
without water weights, pool noodles etc. All ages are welcome. Participants should
be comfortable with being in chest/waist deep water.
