The Department of Recreation, Parks and Tourism’s Sports Office
introduces the “ Good S.P.O.R.T.S Charles County ” initiative.
Our Good S.P.O.R.T.S value system, symbolized by the acronym
SPORTS, will serve as the foundation to maintain a high standard of
good sportsmanship allowing residents to enjoy their experience while
playing, observing, or coaching in Charles County.

Drop-In Basketball
Adult & Youth Basketball Drop-In
Enjoy open-gym style sports or semi-organized games. Participation is on
a first come first serve basis. Number of participants may differ per location.
Check our website for a listing of dates and times for youth and adult drop-in sports
locations in your area. Dates and times are subject to change. Contact the facility for
a current schedule. For up-to-date schedules, visit www.CharlesCountyParks.com.
Drop-In Fee: Adult $5 • Youth, Teen, and Senior: $3 • 10 Visit Punch Card: $40
Parent & Me Basketball Drop-In
Play basketball, whether it's free throw or a semi-organized game with your
little one. Parent participation required. Two children per adult max. Dates
and times subject to change. Check www.CharlesCountyParks.com for a listing of
dates and times or contact the center directly for schedule changes.

Youth Summer Basketball League
The community-based youth recreational leagues are, first and foremost, intended
to provide a positive social experience for boys and girls with an emphasis placed
on good sportsmanship, fun, and exercise. Teams are based on area, age, height,
and experience. Players and coaches receive team shirt. It is your responsibility to
select the correct shirt size. Additional charge for new shirt size.
Take advantage of this opportunity to meet people and play basketball in a fun,
organized atmosphere. Program emphasizes total participation and fun. Drop-in
not available.
Youth league practices will begin the week of June 22. Weekly practices and games
run June 22-August 1. Games played at various locations. Leagues may be combined
due to low program enrollment. League is countywide. League age is as of Sep 1,
2026. Players age 17 must be enrolled in high school.
