Water Wise
Designed for non-swimmers, this course builds essential
swimming and water safety skills while preparing participants
to recognize risks, avoid dangerous situations, and perform selfrescue in the event of an aquatic emergency.

Indian Head Torpedoes Swim Team
Sign up today for the 2026 Summer Swim Team operated by the
Indian Head Torpedoes in conjunction with the Department of
Recreation, Parks and Tourism. Your child can enjoy a welcoming
atmosphere of competitive swimming for all skill levels for ages
5-18. Your child will experience a great coaching staff that will
enhance your child's swimming performance. We compete in the
Prince Mont Swim League. Practices will be held at the Donald M.
Wade Aquatic Center or the La Plata High School outdoor pool
and are held M-F in the morning or evening. Swim meets are
held on Saturday mornings. Register your child(ren) today for a
summer they will never forget!
Your child needs to be able to swim the length of the pool in
one stroke. We invite you to our Coach Meet-n-Greet on May
9 at the Donald M. Wade Aquatic Center from 10 am to Noon.
Your child(ren) may be evaluated there and registered! We look
forward to meeting you!
