The Creative Stylist
An exciting hairstyling lesson using a mannequin to create a braided ponytail that can be
used for any occasion (school, dance recital, prom, interviews, etc.). This styling technique
also teaches pinups, box braids, and cornrows. Course also has a supply fee of $50 to be
collected at workshop to cover supply kit that student will keep. For ages 13-18 see page 19.

AI Explorers Units 1-3
Founded by Former Product Director at Google and Senior Tech Lead at Apple and
Uber, Create & Learn offers amazing online coding classes for children in grades
K through 10. Your child can learn to build games, stories, animation, and control
robots through an interactive hands-on curriculum. Class meets once a week. All
classes are virtual and require a laptop or desktop device with zoom, a Chrome
browser, and high internet connectivity.
From R2-D2 in Star Wars to Transformers, artificial intelligence (AI) and robots have
fascinated children for generations. Now AI is more pervasive than ever and is closer
than ever to impacting many parts of our lives. With the latest developments in
technology, AI and machine learning can now beat the highest ranking Go players,
compose music, read medical images better than average doctors, and so much
more. In this fascinating series of AI classes for kids, we introduce students to the
latest AI technologies and their applications in many areas.

In this fun and creative class, we introduce students to the wonderful world of coding
using Scratch, a platform developed by MIT. Students will use colorful drag-and drop
blocks that are intuitive and easy to use to create stories, games, and animations.
We cover essential coding concepts such as conditional, loop, variables, and much
more, while also exploring the intriguing features Scratch offers such as motion,
sensing, and clones.
