The Winter GUIDE is Here!
It's the most wonderful time of the year! As we gear up to celebrate this festive season, we
invite you to join us for some exceptional holiday programs. Shop until you drop at our Winter
Holiday Market or put a new spin on your pictures with Santa at Swimming with Santa. Looking
to immerse yourself into the arts this holiday season? Don't miss our Youth Art Exhibit or one of
the many seasonal events that the Explore Charles County team has curated on page 8.
Looking to engage your teens more in the community in the upcoming year? Our Friday Teen
Hangouts provide a free program for 13-17-year-olds, offering a variety of activities aimed at
promoting youth development in Charles County. These hangouts offer a safe and inclusive space
for teens to socialize, learn new skills, and cultivate lasting friendships, as we invest in the future
of our community. If your teen is starting to think about what's next for them, our HBCUFest is
the perfect place to explore the exciting world of Historically Black Colleges and Universities by
speaking with HBCU representatives from across the country.
Embrace winter with the Charles County Recreation, Parks, and Tourism RecPASS - your ticket
to unlimited fun all year long. This membership gives you access to all drop-in programs for a
full year, with an option to include a pool membership for endless aquatic adventures. Whether
you're a solo adventurer, a couple, a parent-child duo, or a family, there's a RecPASS tailored
for you - making it a perfect stocking stuffer to spread holiday cheer among your loved ones!
As we step into the new year, why not commit to learning something new? Our offerings include
computer coding courses, drop-in programs, and workshops designed to ignite new interests.
If fitness is on your 2026 agenda, try our Yoga for Beginners or Mat-Based Pilates classes to
help you achieve your fitness objectives. Don't forget to enjoy our parks year-round by taking a
refreshing walk or bike ride along our picturesque trails!
Whatever you choose to do during this special season, we hope to see you and your family at our
recreation programs, parks, or historical sites. Let's work together to make this holiday season
and the coming year truly unforgettable!
Sincerely,
